| Newsletter - 12th June 2007 'Hands on' Serious Games Workshop Serious Games workshops are being held in The Design Hub in Coventry on 20th June 2007. Serious Games are computer games developed primarily for training and education but using the techniques and technologies that make entertainment games so engaging and experiential. These workshops have been designed for those interested in using computer games and simulations for learning or "Serious Games". The workshop will provide an interactive and hands-on session using a range of Serious Games applications, and also demonstrating how virtual worlds (e.g. Second Life) can be used to solve real business issues. There will be two duplicate workshops; one in the morning and one in the afternoon. There are just 12 places for each workshop so reserve your place now. Morning Workshop 9.00am – Arrive and Coffee Afternoon Workshop 1.30pm – Arrive and Coffee Please reply to this invitation or email Richard Smith and specify which workshop you would like to attend (morning or afternoon). The content of these workshops will be the same so please choose one or the other. Please also specify if you are bringing a colleague, and if so, their name and position.
