PIXELearning's aim is to be the global vendor of
choice for games-based learning (aka 'Serious Games') technology platforms and authoring tools.
We have invested heavily in
the development of tools which allow non-technical learning professionals
to be able to create their own games-based learning solutions.
LearningBeans® is the overall brand name for our ever-expanding suite of games-based learning technology platforms. This Flash/Flex and ASP.net platform allows our in-house teams to quickly create:
- Business simulation/games - where the learner 'runs' a business to better understand, for example, financial or marketing concepts.
- Situational simulations - where learners perform a role in order to gain realistic virtual experience of real world roles such as, for example: auditing; sales; or business planning.
- Role play simulations - face to face or telephone-based conversations with simulated characters e.g. for conflict negotiation or sales retention training.
- Technical process simulations - which feature custom embedded systems or processes such as, for example, CRM, SAP usage all set within a rich and challenging real world context.
- Mini-games - discreet, short and engaging 'jolts' which focus on reinforcing discreet learning outcomes.
PIXELearning is able to turn customised projects in under three months (sometimes a lot less) as these technologies allow us to focus upon sector, organisational or subject domain learning design rather than technical R&D.
LearningBeans® BizSim is
our Business Simulation engine technology that has been used to create several external client solutions and all of our own off-the-shelf products. Our development teams have this ever-expanding technology at their disposal to help meet demanding client requirements and delivery targets.
Simulations which are based on LearningBeans® are web-based, optimised for corporate IT environments, graphically rich, feature rich and require only a browser and the Adobe Flash player to use.

LearningBeans® Worlds is a technology platform that we created out of the business simulation engine to fulfill the increasing number of requests that we have for 'virtual worlds'. Typically customers have tried, and been disappointed by, platforms such as Second Life when trying to create rich virtual environments for training needs such as induction training.
