Richard Smith, Managing Director
Richard’s extensive company management experience, including completing multi-million pound venture capital deals and developing several small software companies, make Richard the ideal person to take PIXELearning to the next stage of their progression.
Richard has a strong track record of business development and company growth within several new technology companies. He is a proactive and confident sales professional with experience of securing new business and building successful partnerships in high value IT solutions to the corporate and telecoms markets. He is technically competent with a broad understanding and experience of many areas of IT and telecoms.

Kevin Jauncey , Chairman
Kevin Jauncey is a senior executive having worked at board level in the Telecoms and IT/ Software market in both PLC and private companies for the last 10 years. A proven track record of growing business, good communication and building strong dynamic teams. He is experienced in raising capital in both the private and public sectors, and delivering strategies based on M&A activity. He has a deep understanding of the Global Communication market, and has developed a strong network of IT and Communication professionals and executives.
Kevin Jauncey has worked in the Telecoms market for the last 25 years. Among many roles in International Telecoms, he was responsible for BT's telecom business in Asia, Africa and the Middle East. He was also Director of a BT - France Telecom joint venture.

Tim O'Connell
A.C.A, Acting Finance Director
Tim is a Chartered Accountant with over 20 years of IT and
games-industry experience with Senior Executive roles covering
financial and commercial responsibilities. He floated a
Group of Companies onto the London Stock Exchange and has
assisted a number of companies raise finance.
Tim has also been directly involved with the commercial
and contractual agreements for IP, including some very high
profile licenses. He also has considerable experience in
Strategic planning. Tim provides the management team with
financial, contractual and strategic advice. |

Helen Routledge, Instruction Design Manager With a B.Sc (Hons) in Behavioral Science (major in psychology) Helen has over 8 years experience of applying behavioral and cognitive theories to highly-interactive serious games for learning and communications. Helen has worked on dozens of varied projects addressing, for example, team building, leadership (Raytheon), sales training, IT security (HP) and disease control. Helen’s experience has gained her credibility and a name within the industry, as one of the leaders, innovators and entrepreneurs shaping and leading the industry. Her experience has resulted in her becoming a recognised figure on the international speaking circuit on the topics of games for learning in corporate and education.

Helen Axe, Project Manager Holding a BA (Hons) in Communication Culture and Media from Coventry University Helen has gathered over three year’s experience of working with innovative forms of technology. Working for PIXELearning for the over two years she has Project Managed an educational product offering with US partners Realityworks, a viral marketing game for 3m and EU funded projects, as well as a lead Instructional Design role on a project for a process awareness game for Shell. Further to her involvement in projects Helen has been aiding PIXELearning in their marketing activities with the intention of spreading a positive outlook on Serious Games.

Jiawen Liang, Lead Simulation Designer
Jiawen is a highly qualified Business & IT graduate, and holds a Master degree in Operational Research (University of Warwick) and a B.Sc (Hons) in Business Information Technology. He specializes in applying simulation techniques, and successfully integrating them into complex IT systems. Jiawen has been involved in many complex designs for clients including Raytheon, Global Novations, Coca Cola, 3M etc. He has designed and created simulations with hundreds of variables most noticeable working to create a multiplayer scoring platform. Jiawen also has experience in a variety of web based programming languages including ASP, .NET, SQL, Flash and Java.

Rex Bird, Investor's representative
Rex has a background in media industries, TV, radio &
print. He has been the Fund Manager for the Creative Advantage
Fund for over 2 years and is a non-executive director of
two media companies. He also has expertise in developing
and establishing not for profit social enterprises.
His current consultancy work includes managing the Centres
of Vocational Excellence (CoVEs) programme for Creative
Industries for the Learning & Skills Development Agency
and work for Skillset, the TV, Film and interactive media
Sector Skills Council developing media companies business
skills, funded by London Business Link & PaCT, the professional
association for independent TV & Film producers. He
is a skilled trainer in management and business skills and
techniques, specialising in sales and marketing. |
